A family in Nyamira county is seeking answers over the untimely death of their dear daughter, Millicent Moraa Obwocha, who sadly died in Saudi Arabia.
The husband of the late Moraa shared that the agency that took her there said that the young lady died as a result of a brain freeze after falling from a roof.
According to the family, Moraa had repeatedly complained of unwanted sexual advances from her boss, and she asked the agency that had taken her there to find her another employer.
“Her employer requested her back, promising to quit the advances, but that never happened,” shared Obuya.
According to Obuya, Moraa hatched a plan to escape with her Kenyan agent, Gilbert. She even told him that she was waiting outside the gate, which was the last time her husband heard from her.
It has been two months since the family received the news of Moraa’s death on June 23, and the body is yet to be repatriated.
The agency has assured them that all the payments have been made.
“For the last week, the agent has not been picking up my calls, and he told me that he is also in Kenya, just like me and is waiting,” said Moraa’s devastated father.
